I sat through a presentation on integration recently.  "Oh boy!" Although the gentlemen presenting did an excellent job and had great presentation skills, his material was out dated and his techniques were obsolete. "Oh my!"

He explained how integrating business applications could be accomplished by exporting files, then manipulating the files in a spreadsheet and finally importing them into the target application.  "Oh no!"

Business integration software today is delivered in different forms; on-premises (OP), hosted, or as a service (SaaS). Many vendors would passionately argue one delivery model over the other, making valid arguments about why one may work better than the others.

Wow! Now we have two, count them, one - two, packaged ready to run integration solutions for Saleforce.com users.Pervasive DataSynch for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce continues to be a hit with small to medium sized businesses. I was recently at lunch with two Salesforce sales professionals that commented how much this product has helped their customers complete the business picture by integrating their accounting and CRM applications, in this case QuickBooks and Salesforce.
